This a rare picture of most of the Curle family. Everyone is smiling!!! In the picture apart from myself are my mother, Pam and my sister, Jo. It was taken when we went to San Fransisco in October 2000.
Work: Having worked within IT for many years; being both contract and permie, my extensive experience in Infrastructure Management and Service Delivery enables me to provide significaint valuable experience across many organisations, from small, medium to large corporates. For reference, my detailed CV is on a separate page. Current CV
Photography: Being a convert to the digital age, my current digital cameras include my aging Canon Powershot Pro1 and my newer investement in a DSLR Canon EOS 450D. A selection of lenses seem to cover most of my needs - and perhaps a little more specialists than most with my entomological interests. Having spent many years of taking hopeless photographs with 35mm film, I can now take many more digital photographs and then spend a lot of time deleting them - all at no extra cost! Some photos...
Creatures: Generally interested in all aspects of wildlife; entomology in particular; my main interest area lies with moths; the bigger and more spectacular the better. Moving from the UK, a fair proportion of my original collection got damaged. Not due to the move itself, but completely due to Grace removals being unable to read and placing a very clearly marked crate, onto its side. The damage to a collection like this is irrepairable, and the insurance value in the UK was negligible. However, once you get to Australia, replacing items like this is extremely expensive. Thus, under-insured in Australia, and both Dorree Bonner and Grace simply washing their hands of it, my irreplacable collection lay in tatters. It's not quite to easy collecting in Australia as in other parts of the world (and quite rightly so too), so with my State permit, I now collect and record the incredible insect biodiversity wherever I go in Victoria.
Numismatist: Over the years I've had a passing interest in world coinage and bank notes. I've now managed to build a nice collection of all sorts of coins and notes. I find myself particularly interested in old English bank notes and coins that were used - as opposed to the various worldwide mint's producing the coins just for collectors. OMG - I haven't got any photo's of the collection! You've been spared!
